Sid and Marty Krofft were masters of trippy, high-concept, low-budget kids’ shows with innocent but profoundly corny sensibilities. One of the weirdest series they made was Land of the Lost, which ran from 1974 to 1977 and told the story of a scientist, his assistant, and a survivalist who got sucked into a space-time vortex and landed in a land populated by dinosaurs but also–somehow–underground lizard men.
